Based just outside of Carlisle, Cumbria, the studio at Hutton Active offers an oasis of calm in our busy lives.

Hutton Active combines both physical and mental wellbeing into one whole-istic offering. Approaching wellbeing from both a fitness and more subtle holistic angle, Ann is able to marry two of her passions and offer a unique service which shows tangible results for a wide range of problems.

Ann Hutton created Hutton Active to empower a healthier you, both physically and emotionally, through incorporating life-long achievable enjoyable daily activities and providing you with the knowledge and tools to be the engineer of your own life.

Ann has a great depth of experience stretching back over 37 years. Showing an avid interest in sports at a very young age, Ann achieved regional status in her field and showed a particular flair for gymnastics even going on to compete for Great Britain in 1979. She is now a fully qualified Fitness & Group Exercise Coach and started up her own fitness studio in Blackburn, Lancashire in 1986

Ann relocated to Cumbria in 2000 and began teaching Fitness and Personal Training as well as working within the NHS for 13 years as a specialist stop smoking adviser. In 2013, she re-qualified as a level 3 Personal Trainer with the National Academy of Sports Medicine and took an interest in Holistic Therapy, going on to qualify as a Reiki practitioner in 2016.

Ann continues to teach group exercise classes within a popular fitness club and practice a varied treatment schedule from a warm and relaxing purpose-built treatment room near her home in Low Cotehill, near Carlisle, situated on the perimeter of the family’s working farm.
